Winter Look Inspiration + Tutorial

Over the next three weeks I have a really exciting blog series to share with everyone! Ashley Beschell of Beschell Photography and I have teamed up with Brittany Whybrew from JW Salon and Spa in Savannah to show off some hair inspiration (with a tutorial!) to go along with outfit inspiration from Harper Boutique. We're starting off with a versatile winter look. Read below for Brittany's easy to follow hair instructions and see a fun outfit I styled from Harper Boutique!

Above is the before picture to give you a reference point to start.

Part hair in three sections: left, right + back. Start curling from the bottom layer, curling 2" sections at a time. Spray texturizing spray before curling.

On the sides, be sure to curl away from your face.

Pull the top half of your hair back and push up slightly to create a pouf. Twist the hair to secure it and insert bobby pins in a criss cross pattern.

Roll loose hair from under the bobby pins up to create a loop around your finger. Secure that with bobby pins and hair spray.

Done! Here's what the final results will look like!

It's no surprise that I'm sticking with neutrals this winter. This outfit is perfect for day to night wear; I love how versatile it is! You can wear this for a holiday luncheon with the girls or to your office party.

While leather leggings may seem like a night-only part of your wardrobe, adding this long vest creates a more casual look. Not to mention it helps cover any bits you may want to cover ;)

These mary jane heels are the perfect match for my day-to night look. They are easy to walk in even on uneven bricks or cobblestones.

Thanks as always to Ashley Beschell for these beautiful photos, Brittney Whybrew of JW Salon and Spa for the gorgeous hair tutorial and last but not least Harper Boutique for best clothes!
