Part 3: New Years Fun

This is the last in the series of collaborative blog posts with Brittany from JW Salon, Ashley of Beschell Photography and Harper Boutique. Today we're showing off some inspiration for New Year's Eve. I know, I know we need to make it through the holidays first, but turns out NYE is right around the corner. See below for Brittany's hair tutorial and my outfit inspiration.

Here's our before picture of lovely Brittany about to put her hair up for NYE!

Divide hair into two sections: top and bottom. Spray the bottom section of your hair with texturizing spray then curl that portion of your hair away from your face.

Bring the top section of your hair down and spray with the texturizing spray. Curl this section away from your face.

Tease the top half of your hair in three layers. Spray each teased section with texturizing spray.

Pull your hair back from mid-ear height, straight back. Push up slightly to create a pouf. Secure with bobby pins in a criss cross pattern.

Roll the bottom section of your hair up, under the pouf and secure. Lightly tug at the sides of the pouf to create a fuller look. Spray with hair spray.

Here's a final glimpse of the before and after: gorgeous!

I love this dress from Harper Boutique: it has all the right features (for me!) for NYE. It's short but still covers you, has fun little details and it's an unexpected *neutral* color.

This front geometric cut out is one of my favorite features.

The back has a mirror geometric cut out to the front: perfect.

I threw on this comfy vest for an added layer in the same color tone as the dress.

Rather than wear a nude heel (I didn't want to match the whole outfit), I put on some black heels to break up all the neutral tones from the dress and the vest.

Thank you so much Ashley Beschell for these beautiful photos, Brittany Whybrew of JW Salon and Spa for all of the gorgeous hair tutorials and Harper Boutique for always having the best clothes!
