I love finding artisan jewelry when I'm traveling and bringing a little something home. Although you can find some of these artists' work in locations throughout the world, I've listed the town they work from.
Marion Cage: New Orleans
Marion has been designing jewelry for a little over decade and has grown her boutique jewelry line into quite a lovely business. Looking at some of her architectural pieces makes me feel like I'm right back in New Orleans with all of the ornate iron fences and gates.
Bario Neal: Philadelphia
Bario Neal was founded in 2007 as a collaboration between two designers. Not only are their pieces beautiful but they're also sustainable (remember that last blog post?!) They have made a commitment to sourcing their stones ethically and using reclaimed metals. Their jewelry is hand made in their studio in Philadelphia which is also their storefront so you can get a sneak peek behind the scenes.
By Boe: Manhattan
Annika Inez started By Boe in Manhattan as a small retail and studio space in 2000. As her company began to grow she opened a larger space in Soho and is now carried throughout the US and internationally. Her designs are influenced by her scandinavian roots and by her mother who worked in fashion in New York in the 1960's.
Gabriella Kiss: Bangall, NY
I have a soft spot in my heart for all jewelry made by Gabriella Kiss because my engagement ring was made by her. Her work is inspired by nature and all things natural and has a beautiful delicacy. Her studio as featured in the NY Times which some lovely images.
