We're having some very strange weather on the East Coast this "winter." It can be difficult to decide what to wear that looks appropriate but doesn't leave you over heated. Below are some images and tips for casual wear + office wear.
First: Start with darker colors. When you begin with a darker palette, it will automatically look more seasonally appropriate.
Second: Layer. Layering is key right now. Add a scarf or hat or a jacket that you can take on and off as the temperature rises and falls.
Third: Start with a winter knit but wear it in a short sleeve or sleeveless top. When you wear a heavier knit, you will look like you're ready for the season but by making it a sleeveless or short sleeve version you won't be sweating.
It won't be too long before we're grabbing for those heavy sweaters and coats, so have fun with this unexpected warm up while you can.
